Ph3Position Summary /h3 pThe Senior Director, Respiratory Innovation, Vaccines and Infectious Disease, Global Epidemiology RWE will provide scientific and strategic leadership in respiratory disease epidemiology at the above-asset level, leveraging real‑world data, cutting‑edge methods, and technology across vaccines and infectious diseases RD. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liProvide strategic leadership in epidemiology and real‑world evidence across multiple programs and assets /li liLead and develop a team of epidemiologists, ensuring high‑quality scientific output and delivery /li liOversee the design and execution of epidemiologic studies, including observational and post‑approval studies /li liPartner with cross‑functional teams (clinical sciences, safety, regulatory) to support research and development programs and evidence generation /li liContribute to governance and strategic decisions at an above‑asset level /li liOversee scientific dissemination, including publications, conference presentations, and regulatory documents /li liBuild and maintain external collaborations with academic institutions, consortia, and research organizations /li /ul h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul liPhD, DrPH, MD, or other doctoral degree in epidemiology, public health, biostatistics, or a closely related quantitative discipline /li liAt least 8 years of experience conducting pharmacoepidemiology or real‑world evidence studies /li liExperience designing and conducting observational studies (e.g., post‑approval studies, real‑world evidence generation) /li liExperience leading epidemiology programs supporting clinical development and/or regulatory decision‑making /li liExperience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, vaccine, or related research environment /li liExperience building and managing or leading teams of scientific or technical professionals /li liExperience authoring or contributing to scientific publications or regulatory documents /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liExperience in viral and bacterial respiratory diseases /li liExperience interacting with regulatory authorities or supporting regulatory submissions /li liExpertise in advanced epidemiologic methods (e.g., causal inference, machine learning applied to observational data) /li liDemonstrated ability to influence internal and external stakeholders, including scientific and regulatory bodies /li liStrong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation at scientific conferences /li liExperience building strategic external collaborations (academia, CROs, or consortia) /li liExperience driving innovation, capability building, or organizational change within an epidemiology or RWE function /li /ul h3Role Location /h3 pHybrid position in the United States, Belgium, United Kingdom, or the Netherlands. /p h3Compensation and Benefits /h3 pUS salary ranges for Cambridge, MA; Waltham, MA; Rockville, MD; or San Francisco, CA are $224,400 to $374,000. This position offers an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in GSK’s share‑based long‑term incentive program. Benefits include health care and other insurance benefits for employee and family, retirement benefits, paid holidays, vacation, and paid caregiver/parental and medical leave. Detailed compensation and benefits information will be discussed during the recruitment process. /p pBelgium salary range: €148,500 to €247,500. Dutch salary range: €132,750 to €221,250.
