EDI Projects Assistant & Analyst - NYK Group
Do you enjoy working with data, improving processes, and collaborating internationally? And are you excited by the idea of shaping smart EDI solutions within the logistics industry? Then keep reading!
As an EDI Projects Assistant & Analyst at NYK Group, you support the RoRo BPM team in optimizing business processes by developing, integrating, and managing EDI applications. After a comprehensive onboarding, you’ll independently handle operational support and take the lead in implementing process and reporting improvements. Your goal? Ensuring seamless and efficient data exchange with customers, terminals, government agencies, and other partners.
What does this role involve?
In this role you’re responsible for the daily support and monitoring of our production and EDI systems. You troubleshoot technical issues, follow up on incidents, and keep everything running smoothly. Through regular checks, you ensure continuous system performance and business process stability.
You analyze and help design new EDI solutions that align with our internal standards and workflows. You’ll visualize integrations (e.g., in MS Visio), prepare and lead implementations, and clearly document processes. You’ll also create user-friendly manuals and provide internal training to help colleagues adopt new tools and procedures with confidence.
Additionally, you’ll analyze data, create test environments, and optimize the data flow between systems. You’ll play an active role in improving our data warehouse and create insightful reports using Cognos.
Why will this be your new job?
You’ll work in a fast-moving, international logistics environment, with a focus on RoRo and breakbulk transportation. Also, you’ll collaborate with some of the world’s leading automotive brands and contribute to meaningful digital transformation projects.
What makes this job unique? The combination of scale and autonomy: you’ll be part of the global market leader in RoRo shipping, operating from the world’s largest car terminal. At the same time, you’ll be part of a small, close-knit team in a friendly, informal setting – with plenty of space for your ideas and initiatives.
You’ll work mainly from Kontich and occasionally from Zeebrugge, and connect regularly with colleagues across Europe, Asia, and the US. This is a hands-on role with a global impact – where your work truly matters.
