Make your mark for patients
We are looking for a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager who is proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented to join our HSE Belgium team, based at our UCB campus located in Braine-l'Alleud, Walloon Brabant, Belgium.
About the role
You are going to be the HSE co-pilot, supporting the deployment of safety, health, and environmental standards across Chemical Production Environnment. You will help teams implement best practices, coordinate with subject matter experts, and contribute to strategic projects that shape a safer and more sustainable workplace.
Who you will work with
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, HSE SMEs, and business stakeholders. You're going to be part of a dynamic department that values expertise, teamwork, and continuous improvement. You will also engage with emergency and crisis committees and contribute to staff activities.
What you will do
* You will actively support departments in deploying HSE policies
* You will be responsible for coordinating with HSE SMEs and reporting key initiatives
* You will manage CAPA plans and risk prioritization
* You will define and deliver HSE training tailored to team needs
* You will collaborate on risk analyses and support incident investigations
* You will participate in safety tours and compile HSE indicators
For this role, we are looking for the following education, experience, and skills
* Master's degree in chemical or biological sciences
* Certified Prevention Advisor Level 1 (or Level 2 with intent to become Level 1)
* Minimum 5 years of experience in biopharmaceutical production environments
* Strong knowledge of the Well-being Code and legal HSE requirements
* Fluent in French and proficient in English
* High autonomy and ability to engage with stakeholders and translate needs into actions
