As part of the development of the activities at one of our clients, we are looking for a Scientist.
What are your responsibilities?
As a Scientist, you will contribute by:
* Provide solid state support for development projects at preclinical and early clinical stages, which implies polymorph studies, salt or co-crystal screenings and solid form recommendation for new small molecule drug candidates.
* Act as an expert in physical chemistry, more specifically regarding phase behavior, thermal behavior, surface and powder characteristics, at all stages of product lifecycles. The support covers chemical process development, formulation development as well as support of marketed products.
* Develop when appropriate innovative physical analysis methods in the above-mentioned fields.
* Perform analyses like X-ray powder diffraction, Raman, IR, DSC, TGA to characterize the solid state of compound (polymorph, amorphous) on pure material or formulated material (blend, granules, amorphous solid dispersion)
What skills do you bring to the table?
* Master’s degree in chemistry or alike.
* Preferential background in physical chemistry or analytical chemistry.
* Knowledge of relevant analytical techniques, such as X-ray Diffraction, Thermal Analysis, Dynamic Vapor Sorption, Optical Microscopy, Electron Microscopy, Particle sizing, Porosimetry …
* Preferentially a few years of professional experience.
