Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Project Manager with a strong technical and engineering background to lead the implementation of accelerator components and systems. You will coordinate the development, manufacturing, and testing of complex accelerator modules and work closely with international technical partners.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the design, manufacturing, and integration of critical accelerator components, including RF Cavities, RF Couplers, RF Tuners, and RF Pick-ups.
* Plan and manage preparatory activities for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of integrated cryomodules and ensure compliance with technical specifications.
* Develop strategies for the installation, integration, and commissioning of accelerator systems, including auxiliaries.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, define technical tasks, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to deadlines and budget.
* Coordinate technical contributions of international partners, ensuring high-quality deliverables and alignment with project targets.
* Troubleshoot technical issues, provide solutions, and support continuous improvement in complex R&D environments.
Qualifications & Experience
* Master’s degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences.
* 10 years’ experience managing technically complex, high-tech projects in international contexts.
* Strong professional engineering experience in industrial or research R&D environments.
* Knowledge of particle accelerators, accelerator physics, or superconducting RF systems is a strong asset.
* Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, technical integration, and commissioning of advanced systems.
* Experience with planning, risk management, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
* Fluent in English; French and/or Dutch are a plus.
* Willingness to travel internationally up to 20% of working time.
