Global Returnable Packaging Specialist
Purpose:
As a Global Returnable Packaging Specialist, the purpose of this role is to manage performance and drive continuous improvement of one of the world’s largest returnable packaging ecosystems, including returnable bottles and crates, kegs, and pallets, contributing significantly to reducing our carbon footprint.
The role sits within the Global Planning Team and is directly linked to delivering on our Sustainability goals, enabling strategic CAPEX investments, and improving logistics efficiency across the business.
It focuses on the short- and medium-term execution of circular packaging plans across all Zones, ensuring optimal deployment of CAPEX through KPI optimization. The role is rooted in circular packaging management and continuous improvement programs, including the Excellence Program, financial management, planning processes, and innovation projects.
Operating in a global context, the role requires a strong understanding of the specificities of different markets and countries, as well as the ability to build collaborative networks across key functions such as Logistics, Procurement, Verticalized Operations, R&D, and Sustainability across all Zones.
A solid understanding of planning processes—including SNP (Supply Network Planning), inventory management, demand planning, and MRP (Material Requirements Planning)—as well as the CAPEX business cycle, is essential, as these are core elements of the function.
Ultimately, the purpose of this role is to drive meaningful impact on sustainability objectives while delivering financial efficiencies.
The role:
1. Lead the monthly LE (Latest Estimate) process for circular packaging, collaborating with countries to define and implement corrective action plans that drive performance and ensure delivery against budget targets.
2. Ensure the effective execution of cross-functional cost-reduction initiatives.
3. Deliver consolidated analyses of KPI performance, clearly quantifying both financial and sustainability impacts.
4. Develop the RET CAPEX budget by aligning KPI assumptions, volume forecasts, and pricing assumptions throughout the business cycle.
5. Support the implementation of the LCP (Logistics Cost Performance) management system across business units.
Who we’re looking for:
6. You hold a university degree and/or an advanced degree in a relevant field such as Logistics, Supply Chain, or equivalent professional experience.
7. You have a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in supply chain planning, DC/brewery operations, distribution network design, or analytics.
8. You are motivated to drive both financial and sustainability impact, with a strong understanding of how the circular economy contributes to these objectives.
9. You are comfortable working with large volumes of data, including data manipulation and analytics.
10. You demonstrate strong ownership: you take results personally, act with accountability and transparency, and maintain a strong bias for action.
11. You are able to solve business problems creatively, pragmatically, and with speed, effectively assimilating issues and translating ideas into clear requirements while generating coordinated solutions based on your experience and insights.
12. You communicate effectively and engage stakeholders by simplifying complexity, delivering impactful messages, and influencing outcomes.
13. You excel at building cross-functional relationships and establishing credibility with business leaders, teams, external stakeholders, and peers.
