About the job:
For our growing division Automotive in Azuqueca de Henares (Spain) at the earliest possible date we are looking for a: Design Engineer
Reporting to the Program Manager your mission will be to lead project development related to new products and technical modifications of existing products.

What will your daily responsibilities include in this role?
* Prepare technical drawing documentation and batteries component specifications.
* Make calculations related to processes control parameters to build the product respecting customer requirements.
* Redesign the current batteries and calculate the ratios from Exide batteries or from competition.
* Search, request samples and testing of new components and materials according product design, contacting suppliers.
* Engineering management of Design BOM components and part numbers
* Plan, Organize and follow up prototypes and / or presets.
* Participation on homologation of component/materials and product/suppliers.
* Participation in working group projects such as FMEA, 8D, continuous improvement activities, etc
* Participation in internal and external Audits.
* Work in the development of battery designs including raw materials and components
* Support execution of development roadmaps for product lines, including management of individual projects included in the respective product line roadmap
* Be part of development teams for homologation projects to meet project goals
* Capture and facilitate the sharing of best practices and lessons learned across plants
* Ensure alignment with local goals and requirements; support local teams to follow safe launch methodology
* Collaboration in initiatives to improve performance and quality of advanced batteries in partnership with regional and local operations, quality and engineering functions
* Participate and support annual costs saving initiatives concerning product and process
* Participate and support standardization and roll out of design features, measurement methods & processes for AGM and/or Flooded batteries
What we ask for:
* Industrial Engineering Degree (Mechanical/Chemical/Electrical Engineering)
* Experience in industrial environment, not need battery experience but e with experience in plant / operations. Previous experience in R&D or Quality departments is desirable.
* Ability to perform FMEA or risk Analysis for products and process design.
* Knowledge in industrial Production Processes.
* Analytical Thinking
* Business fluent English language.
* Proactive communication with colleagues.
* IT skills and good knowledge in IT tools.
* Knowlwdge to communicate clearly in English ( C1- Advance)
