The project:
Our client in the insurance sector, is seeking an experienced Senior Project & Operations Manager to strengthen their team.
Responsibilities:
Lead Business / IT projects and perform analysis
* Define project goal / scope with business owner / stakeholders, and lead it throughout its various stages.
* Elaborate projects / programs that can have a Corporate Centre or a Group scope.
* Do contracting with Legal & Procurement functions with group companies and external parties.
* Planning and scheduling project activities, and following-up on execution of these.
* Manage scope, quality, budget and time.
* Perform analysis of the functionality and technology required by the project, in collaboration with business- and technical people.
* Facilitate vendor selection and contracting with external parties, together with contract owners, Procurement & Legal Team.
* Perform risk assessments.
* Manage external parties in projects.
* Report on project status to PMO and on Steerco’s. Applying the PMO methodology.
* Deliver analysis documents and documentation in Office tools, Aris, and Confluence.
* Set-up and execute billing of services for which Corporate Centre is the owner. Negotiate SLAs with companies in the group and with external parties.
* Projects can be of several types: new business service, security, infrastructure, functional applications, audit/risk, legal, financial…
* Next to IT projects, there are also Business projects for which the role takes up the management and execution of IT related tasks.
* Make sure that in these activities security is on the forefront / work in an ISO27K compliant way as per the procedures.
Run Activities
* Depending on the needs of the team, the role also participates in BAU activities such as: IT Risk & Business Continuity Management
* Incident & Problem Management
* Change Management
* IT Security
* Contracting, billing and financial follow-up of the IT Services in the Group Hub or for Coporate Centre locally
* Acting as a spoc for the IT Services that the Corporate Centre offers to operating companies.
Is this you?
* Experience of minimum 15 years as IT Project Manager. Affinity/experience with several of the run activities mentioned.
* Strong analytical skills to detail requirements and solutions. IT technical affinity.
* Can start from a green field to elaborate new concepts and operating models.
* Broad interest and ability to tackle challenges in various Business & IT domains. Willingness to put on various “hats”.
* Ability to analyse business goals & - requirements of Corporate Centre departments.
* Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
* Hands-on attitude. Like the small and the big initiatives.
* Managership capabilities & autonomous to drive own activities and projects forward.
* Experience in IT finance and IT contracting.
* Ability to work with various levels in the company, including technical and business people, up to C-levels of companies in the group.
* Ability to work with various departments in the company, e.g. Legal, Finance, Enterprise Risk Management.
* Ability to work with different kinds technical profiles, e.g. architects, software engineers, network specialists.
* Experienced in IT Security principles and best practices, e.g. ISO27k standards, with a strong focus on implementing secure working environments.
