The Opportunity
We are seeking a Functional Consultant for SAP / SuccessFactors Payroll (Belgium) to join an elite SAP Consulting Practice. In this highly autonomous, fully remote European role, you will own both the internal and client-facing activities required for successful, large-scale payroll implementations. Serving as a crucial link between business requirements and technical execution, you will ensure a flawless go-live for high-volume enterprise clients in the Belgian region while building long-term strategic relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Solution Design & Configuration: Document and execute the overall configuration of the payroll architecture, striking the perfect balance between complex business needs, technical constraints, and multi-component compatibility.
* Belgian Compliance & Localization: Lead workshops and translate local legal requirements into SAP functionality, with an emphasis on end-of-year obligations and post-payroll processing flows.
* Data Migration & Integrity: Organize, support, and oversee data mapping, cleansing, and data transformation activities between clients and implementation teams, ensuring strict adherence to data security protocols.
* Integrations & Technical Synergy: Partner with technical teams to define integration requirements, deliver client-facing architecture workshops, and compile essential system documentation.
* Quality Assurance & Testing: Execute rigorous internal testing and regression analysis to isolate and correct configuration anomalies prior to client User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
* Commercial Support: Assist the sales and account management functions with scoping, solution designing, and effort estimation for new projects and complex change requests.
Profile Requirements
* Proven techno-functional SAP HCM consulting experience in the Belgian market (Cloud or On-Premise), ideally within high-volume or multi-legal-entity environments.
* In-depth expertise in Belgian payroll and tax regulations, including mandatory year-end obligations (FinProf, Belcotax, BOW reporting, etc.).
* Strong analytical mind with a track record of translating complex HR workflows into high-performing SAP configurations.
* Professional fluency in Flemish, French, or Dutch, paired with strong professional English communication skills.
* Experience with or a strong appetite for SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) modules.
* Must be physically located within Europe with valid, permanent work authorization (visa sponsorship is not provided).
