Full-time Permanent contract - HSE Manager - Industry (Kortrijk Area)
The Safety Hub is currently recruiting a strategic and field-oriented HSE Manager / Prevention Advisor (Level 1) for one of our key clients, a world-class leader in the food processing industry.
The Mission
As a key partner to the Board and Site Management, you will play a central role in deploying safety policies across all hierarchical levels. You will operate at the intersection of strategy, operational excellence, and continuous improvement within a high-standard, international industrial environment.
Core Responsibility: You will be fully responsible for the management and leadership of the SIPP (Internal Service for Prevention and Protection at Work) for this major production site.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Safety Culture
Advise the Board and Management on all health and safety matters.
Act as a catalyst for cultural change, ensuring high engagement from both management and floor staff.
Deploy safety strategies through structured action plans (GPP, JAP, etc.).
SIPP Management & Compliance
Lead, improve, and maintain the Safety Management System (with an ISO 45001 focus).
Ensure full regulatory compliance, monitor legislative changes, and manage all safety documentation.
Oversee risk assessments (workstations, equipment, ergonomics, psychosocial factors) and support new investments via Design for Safety principles.
Operations & Training
Drive safety meetings, toolbox talks, and internal awareness campaigns.
Manage emergency planning, evacuation drills, and incident/accident root cause analysis.
Coordinate with external partners (SEPP, authorities, insurance) and manage safety for external contractors.
Define and pilot the safety training matrix and coach managers on safety leadership.
Your Profile
Certification: Certified Prevention Advisor – Level 1 (Essential).
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a demanding industrial environment (Food/FMCG experience is a strong plus).
Soft Skills: Assertive, highly organized, and a natural communicator. You are as comfortable in the boardroom as you are on the production floor.

Dutch: Fluent (Professional level)
French: Fluent (Professional level)
English: Professional (Used for reporting and collaboration at the international group level).
