Description
The Software Factory cluster within the Software and Architecture Tribe is looking for Tech Leads to support multiple teams in their mission to modernize platforms, improve delivery performance, and raise engineering standards. Depending on your background and interests, you will take on a Tech Lead role in one of the teams in the cluster, such as the Modernization and Rationalization (MORA), Test data management (TDM) of Service virtualization (SV) team.
Your responsibilities as our Tech Lead
The Tech Lead provides technical leadership with regard to applications and technologies for multiple teams. The Tech Lead defines how technology is implemented in these teams, in close co-operation with architecture, the business analysts in the teams and with our vendors, based on industry standard best practices and within the Telenet Architectural and Software Factory guardrails. The Tech Lead also provides input into the creation and update of these guardrails.
More specifically, the Tech Lead
* provides the best technical solutions to business challenges or requirements
* supports implementation of the Telenet Architectural and Software Factory Guardrails
* supports the Product Owners and Solution Architect in defining our technology roadmaps
* promotes technical standards and best practices
* ensures we meet standards on quality attributes such as security, maintainability, testability, observability, scalability, code quality, etc
* actively steers the reduction of technical debt and improvement of code quality
* provides and maintains artefacts & templates to support forementioned quality attributes, and performs (code) reviews to ensure compliance with the agreed artefacts & templates
* guides the teams in our cloudification journey and helps them bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and implementation
* sparks innovation including adoption of AI in our way of working and in our platforms
* creates and implements skeleton/blueprint software design
* streamlines and increases agility and intelligence in our delivery, patching and release processes
* plans for the introduction of new technologies in our tribe, by organizing inspirational sessions, training, giving support, giving hands-on help, or seeking support in the company (software factory, architecture, other teams) for our teams
* supports the Business Analyst's to challenge the partner when translating the business requirements and proposed solution design into the detailed technical design. Ensures the proper technical documentation is delivered according to agreed guardrails.
Your profile as our Tech Lead
* Has a master's degree in IS or similar through experience and has 5+ years project experience in a hands-on technical leadership role or as Business Analyst/Solution Designer
* Has a passion for technology and is up-to-date with technical evolutions
* Has good understanding of Telenet's mission and structure, contributing to strategic software goals.
* Has proven experience in designing scalable software systems in an enterprise environment, solution design and solution architecture, state-of-the-art delivery processes.
* Has knowledge in technologies and components such as cloud, AI, networking and infra, security, databases, CI/CD,…
* Has knowledge of industry best practices for reducing technical debt and ensuring code quality
* Has the ability to drive technical innovation and align it with business needs. Has strong skills to guide and mentor stakeholders on this matter. Has proficiency in translating complex technical challenges and technical designs into understandable language and business impact for business stakeholders. Can drive conversations with senior management and support decision-making.
* Is a team player and strong communicator in English.
