QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER - LEUVEN (BELGIUM) - PERMANENT POSITION We're currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Engineer to support quality assurance activities within our electronics manufacturing environment. This role is embedded directly within production and is responsible for ensuring that products meet defined quality, performance, and reliability standards from build through to final release. As a key part of the production team, you will take ownership of day-to-day quality activities on the line, working closely with manufacturing, design engineering, and supply chain to identify issues early, contain defects, and drive effective resolutions. You will be actively involved in testing, inspection, and debugging of electronic assemblies, as well as supporting process validation and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a practical, floor-based position suited to someone who enjoys working directly with hardware, test equipment, and real-world production challenges. The role requires a strong balance of hands-on technical capability and structured problem-solving, with the ability to move quickly between investigation, documentation, and collaboration to maintain production quality and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Perform hands-on testing and inspection of electronic assemblies and finished products at incoming, in-process, and final stages Execute functional, electrical, and reliability tests using lab and production equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies Identify, document, and track defects, non-conformities, and failure modes using structured QA processes Troubleshoot and debug issues at component, board, and system level to support rapid resolution Work closely with production teams to ensure quality standards are consistently met and maintained on the line Support root cause analysis activities and implement corrective and preventive actions Develop, update, and maintain test procedures, work instructions, and quality documentation Assist with new product introduction including validation builds, test development, and process readiness Monitor quality metrics such as yield, defect rates, and rework, and provide actionable feedback to stakeholders Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reliability, and manufacturing efficiency Ensure compliance with internal quality systems and relevant industry standards Skills & Experience: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience Experience in a QA, test, or manufacturing engineering role Strong practical experience with electronic test equipment and debugging techniques Ability to read and interpret schematics, datasheets, and technical drawings Understanding of quality standards and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, IPC standards) Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills Comfortable working in a production environment with direct interaction with hardware The Offer: A permanent, full-time employment contract A salary & benefits package commensurate with experience Please send over your CV to tom.walker@vividresourcing.com or call me on 32 (0) 3 318 00 74.
