Medical Science Liaison – CVRM (South)

As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL), you will be a trusted scientific expert in the field, building strong, non-promotional partnerships with healthcare professionals and Key External Experts (KEEs).
You will play a critical role in advancing clinical practice, identifying unmet medical needs, and bringing valuable insights back to the business to shape strategy and improve patient outcomes.
This is a highly collaborative, field-based role (≈80%), working closely with cross-functional teams while maintaining medical independence and scientific integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Scientific Engagement & Insight Generation
1. Build and maintain strong partnerships with healthcare professionals and KEEs
2. Deliver high-quality scientific exchange aligned with CVRM strategy
3. Gather and share insights to inform medical and brand strategies
4. Stay up to date with the latest scientific developments and congress learnings
Driving Medical Impact
5. Support clinical studies and medical projects from initiation to follow-up
6. Contribute to pre-launch activities and market access readiness
7. Partner with experts to optimise patient pathways and standards of care
8. Lead and moderate scientific meetings and advisory boards
Cross-Functional Collaboration
9. Share insights with medical, marketing, and sales teams
10. Educate internal stakeholders on disease areas and therapies
11. Support clinical operations ( site selection)
12. Collaborate across teams while maintaining medical compliance
Scientific Communication & Excellence
13. Deliver impactful, compliant scientific presentations
14. Respond to medical information requests
15. Support omnichannel medical communication initiatives
16. Represent AstraZeneca at national and international congresses
What You Bring
Education & Experience
17. Medical, Pharmacy, or PhD-level scientific degree
18. Strong experience analysing and communicating scientific data
19. Knowledge of (or strong interest in) CVRM therapeutic area
20. Fluent in French and English. Dutch is preferred.
21. Willingness for field-based work and flexibility (including events)
