European Visual Artists (EVA) represents the interests of collective management organisations for visual art authors across Europe. With 31 collecting societies as members or observers, EVA supports the management of authors' rights for nearly 170,000 creators of visual works, including fine art, illustration, photography, design, and architecture. EVA is looking for a
FULL TIME COMMUNICATION ASSISTANT under SHORT-TERM CONTRACT (CDD)
to join our Secretariat in Brussels from the first week of March until beginning of August, for a duration of 6 months. The candidate will support internal and external communications, including newsletters, website maintenance and social media animation. The Secretariat's work focuses on the European institutions and policies related to the cultural and creative sectors, with particular attention to copyright for visual authors, especially in the era of AI, social protection issues, European and international legislation and projects supporting artists.
Duties
* Carry out communication activities: draft internal newsletters, update our websites and ensure our presence on social media
* Monitor EU institutions' activities and policies related to intellectual property (copyright), authors' rights collective management, visual arts, creative and cultural sectors, artificial intelligence
* Conduct desk research on topics of importance to the association
* Support the preparation of Working Groups, Board and General Assembly meetings
* Attend events and help with other administrative tasks as required
Your profile
Required
* Qualified (Master) in Communications, European Affairs or Law, or comparable studies
* Good understanding of EU institutions
* 1 year of relevant experience
* Fluent in English language (professional level)
* Able to carry out tasks independently and keen to coordinate with colleagues
Preferable
You have experience in working in a small team and are fluent not only in English but also in French or other EU languages
