The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.
Gaming1 is a leader in land-based and online games of chance. The Data Architect is an autonomous, influential driver of DataMesh 2.0, owning the end-to-end data architecture lifecycle and working with engineering teams to ensure timely delivery. The role blends strategy with hands-on depth: designing data products, defining federated governance, building telemetry flows, and maintaining a coherent, scalable DataMesh that evolves with the organization.
Responsibilities
Own the DataMesh 2.0 evolution, coherence, and standards from design to delivery.
Design data products and architectures; define federated governance and data contracts.
Build telemetry flows and ensure data quality, observability, and data availability.
Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure successful delivery and alignment with architecture.
Provide architectural context and clarity to empower domain teams to own data.
Remove blockers and ensure data architecture remains scalable and sustainable.
Support teams during implementation — from design reviews to debugging.
Your Profile
Knowledge
Master-level understanding of data architecture, domain-driven data models, and data product design.
Strong experience with event-driven pipelines, data contracts, schema evolution, and lineage.
Ability to balance governance with operational pragmatism.
Broad exposure across analytics, machine learning, BI, real-time data, and platform engineering.
Leadership
Operates with high autonomy, pushing initiatives forward without direction.
Challenges and enhances architectural strategy based on technical truth, not opinion.
Provides context and architectural clarity that empowers domain teams to own data.
Influences engineering and leadership through logic, expertise, and delivery.
Business Impact
Transforms data needs into clear architectures, roadmaps, and engineering plans.
Evaluates and challenges data solutions early to prevent complexity or drift.
