To support our continued growth and push the boundaries of technological innovation, we are looking for a Director of R&D who will take our products and systems to the next level. Our mission is to stay the product leader.
What will you do?
As Director R&D at Televic Conference, you play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our product portfolio realisation and technical innovations. You are a key member of the Senior Conference Management team and report directly to the General Manager. You lead our talented hardware and software engineering teams (indirectly through teamleads), while collaborating closely with Sales, Product Management, and Operations (Customer Success, Project Management, ..).

Your core responsibilities include:
4. Defining and implementing a long-term innovative R&D strategy aligned with market trends and customer needs.
5. Leading large-scale development projects, ensuring technical excellence and timely delivery.
6. Building, coaching, and inspiring a high-performing R&D team across disciplines.
7. Following up on technology evolutions and embedding innovation in everything we do.
8. Contributing to enterprise-wide strategy and translating it into actionable plans for the R&D department. Follow-up on a timely implementation.
9. Ensuring quality assurance and digital innovation through structured project management, tools, processes and compliance.
10. You are responsible for managing the R&D budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and tracking expenses against project milestones.
What are we looking for?
11. A Master’s degree in engineering and at least 10 years of experience in an R&D leadership role.
12. A broad technical background in especially hardware and also software.
13. Proven experience with product leadership, quality assurance, and digital transformation.
14. Expertise in project management, talent development, and data-driven product improvement.
15. Strong business acumen, capable of linking R&D to financial and sales performance and market leadership.
16. An inspirational people leader with a strategic mindset and a passion for developing others.
17. Fluent in Dutch and English; French and German are assets.
18. Comfortable working in international and remote team settings, with up to 15% travel.
