For our client, an international high-tech industrial group active in
research, defense & security, we are looking for a
hands-on Bid Manager
who takes
full commercial and costing ownership
of complex, high-value bids at their Belgian site. This role sits at the crossroads of Sales, Finance, Engineering and Operations and plays a key role in protecting margins and ensuring commercially sound business decisions. Your Role
Own the commercial and financial integrity of bids from bid/no-bid decision to contract award Lead costing and pricing activities, including BOM-based cost models, labor, overhead and risk assumptions Define target margins, pricing logic and negotiation boundaries in close cooperation with Sales and Finance Challenge assumptions from Engineering, Supply Chain and Operations to ensure realistic and profitable offers Coordinate all internal stakeholders involved in the bid process and manage timelines and approvals Lead financial and contractual risk reviews and define mitigation strategies What we are looking for
Master’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business or Industrial Management Multiple years of experiencein bid management, bid costing, commercial project management or industrial controlling in Experience in industrial, manufacturing or high-tech environments (capital equipment, defense, aerospace, energy, etc.) Strong hands‑on experience with: Costing & pricing of complex industrial products; long BOM structures, margin analysis and financial risk assessment Proven ability to work cross‑functionally and challenge senior stakeholders with data‑driven arguments Comfortable working in an international, matrix organization A key commercial rolewith real impact on profitability and strategic decision‑making in a fast‑growing high‑tech company Close interaction with senior management, including Finance and Sales leadership A high‑tech, engineering‑driven environment with complex products and long‑term projects Long‑term development opportunities within a global industrial group Ready for your next step?
