Business Controller – International Manufacturing Industry
Hays is partnering with a leading global player in the high‑tech manufacturing industry to recruit an FP&A Analyst/Business Controller. Our client, an international organization active in advanced industrial technology, develops innovative solutions used in sectors such as energy‑efficient glass, consumer electronics, solar applications and industrial machinery. With production sites in the US, Europe and Asia, the company employs several hundred people and operates in a fast‑growing, technology‑driven market.

As Business Controller, you provide high‑quality financial insights to support strategic decisions across the group. You work closely with leadership teams in different regions and functions, contributing to stronger cost control, profitability analysis and data-driven planning.
Managing and improving cost accounting across multiple sites, ensuring accurate standard costing and analyzing manufacturing structures
Providing insight into margins and product profitability, including variance analysis and margin reviews
Delivering monthly performance analyses across business units: actuals, budget, forecast, prior‑year comparisons
Conducting analyses on pricing, capacity, product mix and working capital to support strategic decision-making
Supporting budgeting, forecasting and long‑range planning, ensuring inputs align with strategic assumptions
Contributing to improvement projects such as M&A analyses, transfer pricing, sourcing optimization and cost accounting enhancements
This is a key function for an experienced finance professional who enjoys combining analytical depth with a strong business partnering mindset.
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance
At least 10 years of relevant experience in FP&A, controlling or a similar finance function, ideally in an international manufacturing or engineering environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems and experience building dashboards in Power BI (must)
Excellent planning and organizational skills, especially in a fast‑moving context
A plus: experience with consolidation systems, IFRS or knowledge of Mandarin
