Duties & Role:
* Manage installation, configuration, upgrades, and backups of database systems and related products both on-premises and in the cloud;
* Design, develop, and maintain data collection, transformation, and integration processes across multiple on-premises and cloud RDBMS platforms;
* Create, optimize, and maintain analytical and monitoring dashboards in Power BI, Grafana, and SSRS;
* Implement and manage automation tools and scripts for routine database administration, data extraction, and reporting;
* Produce dynamic reports and standardized templates to support database configuration management, performance monitoring, and lifecycle tracking;
* Establish and maintain data governance and quality standards within reporting and integration processes;
* Stay current with database technology roadmaps, contributing to continuous improvement of lifecycle management, security, and data reliability.
Requirements
Skill, Knowledge & Experience:
* The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and other relational database management systems (RDBMS), including cloud-based platforms;
* Extensive experience in data engineering, with a focus on designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines;
* Solid understanding of high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) architectures, such as server clustering and virtualized infrastructures.
* In-depth knowledge of Microsoft data and reporting technologies (Power BI, SSRS, SSIS) and familiarity with Grafana;
* Experience in automation for database and data pipeline management tasks;
* Skilled in developing automation scripts using PowerShell/TSQL or Python to enhance data collection, transformation, and reporting workflows;
* Ensures data quality, consistency, and governance across integrated systems, following organizational data standards and compliance requirements;
* Implements secure data handling practices including access control, encryption, and audit logging.
