Process & Innovation Performance Specialist
At AB InBev’s Innovation & Technology Center, our Performance Team is a vital part of Supply Operations. We ensure that innovation isn’t just a buzzword: it delivers value, is measurable, and integrates well into how we bring products to market. We are seeking a Performance Specialist who thrives on data-analysis, change, complexity, and strategy. If you like to make sense of supply chains, challenge the status quo, and drive performance, this could be your role.
Who we are
Brewing the world’s most loved beers and building brands consumers love, AB InBev is where ownership, ambition, and action thrive.
We empower you to dream big, lead change, and create a long-lasting legacy.
We value relentless problem-solvers who take accountability, embrace challenges, and turn bold goals into results through resilience and hard work.
That’s Who We Are: Come and OWN IT!
We are the world’s biggest brewer! Headquartered in Leuven, Belgium, we have opportunities across Europe in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Luxembourg, Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, the UK, Ireland, and Spain. Two key parts of our ecosystem are Budweiser Brewing Group (BBG) in the UK and Compañía Cervecera de Canarias (CCC) in the Canary Islands.
We are proud to have a team of 155,000 colleagues representing 135 nationalities and to operate 28 breweries across Europe.
What You’ll Do
You will lead the way in managing innovation performance, simplifying complexity, and guiding teams toward improved outcomes. Your responsibilities include:
1. Running monthly innovation routines: organizing and facilitating innovation-committees, ensuring follow-up on action items, and enabling timely decisions.
2. Analysing performance metrics both before and after launches, spotting trends, opportunities, and bottlenecks, delivering actionable insights, and presenting results to senior leadership.
3. Overseeing portfolio analyses to help reduce supply chain complexity across SKUs and suggesting improvements.
4. Coordinating R&D tax and grant initiatives; working with external parties and government agencies to ensure AB InBev maximizes support.
5. Supporting, guiding, and coaching cross-functional teams (innovation, operations, implementation) through business case development, process adherence, and execution of innovation projects.
6. Thinking long-term: assessing whether to invest in certain projects, how market trends and consumer needs might shift, and how we best position ourselves strategically.
7. Leading change: helping drive global compliance, process improvements, and digital transformation—even when resistance to change is strong. You’ll need to engage people, show them the benefits, and help them adapt to new ways of working.
Who You Are
We’re looking for someone with a mindset and skillset suited to complexity, strategy, and high-performance. You might come from a more technical background (that’s a plus), but it’s not essential. More important are your analytical, organisational, and interpersonal qualities.
8. Comfortable working with data: you can analyse metrics, build insights, and recommend concrete improvements.
9. Organised and detail-oriented: capable of juggling multiple projects, maintaining structure in complex environments, ensuring follow-ups happen.
10. Strategic thinker with a long horizon: you can understand market dynamics, consumer needs, and business health, not just short-term gains.
11. Good communicator and influencer: you’ll need to work across teams and functions, getting buy-in for change, explaining technical or process issues clearly.
12. Resilient in change management: driving new processes, digital tools, compliance or working practices might meet resistance—you see such obstacles as challenges to overcome.
13. Technically literate: strong with tools like Excel, PowerPoint; experience or interest in Power BI, SAP or similar systems is advantageous. VBA skills are a plus.
14. Language: you are fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing). Additional European languages are a bonus.
Experience & Education
15. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Food/Beverage Science, Data Analytics or a related field.
16. 3-5 years of relevant experience is ideal, but we also welcome candidates fresh from university with strong internship experience.
If this captures what excites you, working in a high impact role, where your analysis, structure, and drive for change will matter, then we’d love to hear from you.
