Assignments
We are looking for a Project Economics Manager to drive the economic performance of complex automotive projects and ensure the achievement of financial targets across the full project lifecycle.
Your main responsibilities include:
* Establishing, formalizing, and managing the project's economic objectives (Total Production Cost, Investments, ER&D Expenses)
* Structuring project cost management activities in line with defined governance models (Job share, Pay share, RASI)
* Building, updating, and monitoring TPC forecasts as well as Risks & Opportunities portfolios
* Monitoring and forecasting project expenses (investments, supplier engineering & development, validation means, launching costs, workforce, etc.)
* Leading economic optimization plans to ensure alignment between cost targets, performance, quality, and planning
* Providing financial visibility and clear reporting to project stakeholders and decision-making bodies
* Supporting design-to-cost activities and leading TPC recovery plans when required
* Managing the annual project expense budget, including forecasting, tracking actuals vs. budget, and implementing corrective action plans
* Ensuring proper financial coordination with partners in cooperation projects
* Preparing the transition to mass production, including first serial price validation and TPC forecasting
* Capturing and sharing lessons learned to continuously improve project economic management standards
The profile
Background
You hold a Master's degree in Economics, Business Engineering (TEW), Finance, or a related field, with proven experience in project-oriented environments.
Must Have
* Several years of experience in project management or project economic controlling
* Strong financial acumen with experience in budget tracking, forecasting, and cost management
* Ability to manage complex financial data and build structured reporting
* Experience working in cross-functional and industrial environments
* Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to challenge and influence teams
* Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Nice to Have
* Experience in automotive or manufacturing environments
* Familiarity with Total Production Cost (TPC) methodologies
* Exposure to cooperation or partnership-based project structures
* Experience supporting projects from development phase to start of production (SOP)
