Job Description
The Analyst will support the team in conducting comprehensive credit assessments and structuring sophisticated financial products. The role involves identifying and mitigating credit and market risks through detailed due diligence, ongoing monitoring of economic and regulatory developments, and strict compliance with internal risk management standards.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis & Research
Assist in developing and reviewing detailed financial models to evaluate transaction feasibility and profitability, including acquisitions, refinancing, restructurings, and asset management scenarios.
Analyze cash flow forecasts, investment returns, and key financial metrics (e.g., IRR, NPV) to support strategic decisions and highlight potential risks.
Work closely with senior analysts to interpret data, extract insights, and contribute to presentations and reports that shape investment strategies.
Legal Review & Documentation
Support the review of legal documentation such as transaction agreements and loan documents, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Collaborate with legal teams to clarify contractual terms that may affect transaction structuring or investment results, helping facilitate smooth negotiations and execution.
Maintain organized and complete records of all legal documents for future reference and audit purposes.
Research
Conduct in-depth market research on relevant industry sectors, analyzing trends, competitive dynamics, and macroeconomic factors that may influence investment opportunities.
Perform due diligence on project companies, reviewing financial health, operational performance, and project viability to ensure alignment with investment and risk criteria.
Provide periodic updates on project progress, key milestones, emerging risks, and financial performance to support proactive decision-making.
Presentation Preparation
Collaborate with the team to create high‑quality presentations and detailed reports that clearly communicate analytical findings and investment recommendations.
Use data visualization and concise executive summaries to ensure materials are clear, engaging, and effective.
Participate in internal and external meetings, contributing to discussions and addressing questions related to the analyses presented.
Ad Hoc Projects & Assignments
Support the team with ad hoc tasks, demonstrating flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly to changing project needs, such as analyzing new investment opportunities or performing market comparisons.
Assist with research projects involving competitive analysis, industry benchmarking, or assessing regulatory developments impacting investments.
Help coordinate team activities, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and tracking follow‑up actions.
Administration
Organize and classify historical and ongoing project information in a structured and systematic manner for easy retrieval.
Ensure all records remain accurate, up‑to‑date, and reflective of the current status of each project.
The Successful Applicant
Education & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Real Estate, Quantitative Finance, or related fields.
1-2 years of relevant experience, ideally with exposure to financial modeling or analysis in Big 4 or consulting firms.
Technical Competencies
Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities.
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin and/or Cantonese.
Experience using financial analysis tools such as Bloomberg is an advantage.
