An organisation needs reliable and accessible data to be able to make better decisions. Consequently, we have major ambitions in this field. As a Data Governance Specialist, you can play an important part. Will you accept the challenge?
You will join a brand-new, growing team of data stewards, data quality engineers and data architects. You will become the main contact for questions about data for a specific domain.
These will be your tasks:
1. You help to make sure we can start with high-quality data. Any issues? You identify the cause and find a solution.
2. You validate logical data models and evaluate whether they meet the business expectations.
3. You describe, maintain and explain data elements within your area of responsibility by means of lineage, metadata sources and data dictionaries.
4. You cooperate closely with software engineers and data quality engineers to implement and manage data topics in the most efficient way.
5. You consult with the information steward to have an idea of the information needs and you translate them into concrete data needs.
6. You help the information steward realise the information quality objectives by solving data incidents and problems.
7. You contribute to impact analyses on existing and new data models.
You will work in Halle and can work from home up to 3 days a week or in one of our regional offices (Mechelen, Haasrode, Zwijnaarde, ...).
Profiel
8. Knowledge and experience - You have a master's degree in IT or you are an industrial engineer IT. You have 3 to 5 years experience in data management and you have knowledge about metadata and lineage. You understand data management concepts and you are familiar with data governance for instance.
9. Strong communication - You can cooperate smoothly with several colleagues, also from other departments and you can easily develop a network. You help ensure that the importance of proper data and information management is recognised within Colruyt Group. You always persevere, even when you meet with opposition.
10. Concept and analysis - You can translate operational frameworks and new ideas into concrete activities.
11. Accuracy - You very precisely explain data elements using lineage and metadata repositories and you document this accurately.
12. Languages - You communicate fluently in Dutch and English in order to cooperate well with all your colleagues, partners and stakeholders.
