About Our Client
We are supporting a fast-growing, internationally active company in sustainable materials and circular manufacturing, looking for a freelance ESG & Compliance Lead to shape and drive their ESG and compliance agenda
Job Description
* Lead preparation of the company's annual ESG reports and responses to external information requests
* Coordinate internal ESG data collection, ensuring audit-proof quality and timely delivery
* Monitor evolving regulatory and stakeholder expectations on ESG disclosure and ensure alignment
* Collaborate with internal teams (Finance, Legal, HR, IT, Marketing) to embed ESG in core processes
* Drive continuous improvement in ESG data controls, reporting efficiency, and communication
* Oversee GDPR compliance in processes across departments
* Lead the creation and annual update of company-wide policies
The Successful Applicant
* 5+ years of experience in sustainability, ESG reporting, and/or compliance
* Solid knowledge of CSRD, GRI standards, ESG metrics, and carbon/environmental data
* Hands-on experience in setting up ESG data collection, validation and reporting processes
* Strong communicator in English (written and spoken); other languages are a plus
* Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a senior advisory or lead role
* Familiar with GDPR frameworks and internal policy development is a bonus
