ACENSI is looking for a Technical Functional Analyst for one of their clients based in Brussels : Context For a major Belgian utility company, we are looking for an experienced Technical Functional Analyst in Asset Management to reinforce the GIS & Asset Management team within an external consultancy engagement. The consultant will support the evolution of the GIS ecosystem and contribute to the implementation of an Electrical Network Load Simulation Tool. Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the implementation of the Electrical Network Load Simulation Tool
- Analyse business needs, lead workshops, and translate requirements into clear and complete functional solutions
- Define and validate functional designs aligned with IT architecture and existing systems (GIS, ADMS, Asset Management, mobile tools, etc.)
- Act as liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams
- Support the full development lifecycle: requirements analysis, functional specifications, validation of deliverables
- Prepare, coordinate, and execute test plans; ensure application quality
- Document defects, follow up on resolutions, and provide 2nd line support
- Support GIS desktop analyses for network modelling and simulation
- Contribute to optimisation and evolution of GIS applications (desktop, web, mobile)
- Support change management and deliver end-user training related to Load Simulation Tool adoption Must Have Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in GIS (Senior level)
- Minimum 3 years as Functional Analyst (Medior level)
- Proven experience in GIS network systems (electricity, gas, fiber, etc.)
- Proven experience in Oracle SQL
- Proven experience in QGIS
- Proven experience with API standards (REST, SOAP)
- Proven experience with Python Languages (Mandatory)
- Fluent in English
- Fluent in French or Dutch
- Professional proficiency (B2 minimum) in the second national language (FR/NL) Technical & Analytical Capabilities
- Advanced knowledge of Oracle SQL
- Advanced knowledge of QGIS
- Strong understanding of API standards and integration formats
- Solid understanding of GIS data models, network modelling, and spatial analysis
- Solid understanding of GIS integration in enterprise environments

- Experience with Hexagon products (Networks Core, Networks Portal)
- Experience with Jira
- Experience with Postman / SoapUI
