Strategic Buyer
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Strategic Buyer to strengthen our central Group Procurement team. In this position you will be critical in implementing our procurement strategy towards value creation, optimizing operational excellence & fostering sustainable growth across various categories together with our suppliers.
Your responsibilities:
* You demonstrate a strong commitment to manage a substantial spend across diverse categories, ensuring the maximization of value creation in line with our group strategy.
* Refine the category strategy to harmonize the needs of our central organization with those of local markets.
* You identify and leverage digital tools to improve and streamline our procurement processes and enhance efficiency.
* With your critical eye, you continuously evaluate and improve supplier performances and procurement processes. You will be assigned ownership on some of our procurement best practices that will be rolled out to our local procurement teams.
* Conduct thorough market analysis to identify and seize improvement opportunities (cost, service, quality, risk & sustainability), augmenting the efficiency and effectiveness of our supply chain.
* Contribute to our strategic sustainability initiatives aimed at reducing our environmental impact by 2030. For more information, see our sustainability report: Together for better Sustainability.
* You promote the adoption of sustainable practices and materials through close collaboration with suppliers.
* As a key team player, you maintain productive relationships with both external and internal stakeholders.
* You keep open lines of communication across the organization.
* You foster strong partnerships with suppliers, exploring new opportunities while maintaining fruitful existing relationships.
* Collaborate extensively with our diverse departments (R&D, sales, operations, project cell, quality, pricing, product management, etc.) to understand and address their unique procurement needs, ensuring the satisfaction of our end customers.
* Your curiosity & pro-activity will open doors to new challenges in diverse categories, allowing us to challenge you with additional categories in the future and expand your responsibilities as the company evolves.

Your Profile:
* You hold a master's degree in economics or engineering.
* A couple years of relevant experience is a nice-to-have.
* You have a strong affinity with digital tools and systems used in procurement processes.
* You have excellent interpersonal skills, enabling you to foster positive working relationships and work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
* You are passionate about sustainability.
* Negotiating commercial agreements in both Dutch and English comes naturally to you.
* Dealing with data and conducting analysis are tasks you tackle with confidence.
* With your analytical mindset and focus on results, you demonstrate impressive organizational skills.
* You are a dynamic person, who does not shy away from a challenge.
* You have the necessary assertiveness to translate our needs to the suppliers and convince them.
* Open to travel? As a Strategic Buyer, you will travel up to a few days per month, mostly within Europe.
