Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join their team as a key contributor to the safe and efficient design and operation of new or modified LNG assets. This pivotal role involves organizing, participating in, evaluating, and translating the outcomes of HSEQ design studies and risk assessments into practical, actionable strategies.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
Technical Integration and Guidance:
* Interpret and translate third-party design studies and risk assessment findings into actionable recommendations for project discipline experts.
* Act as the liaison between HSEQ design processes and operational HSE practices.
Operational Safety Oversight:
* Review work permits, isolation schemes, risk assessments, and job hazard analyses to ensure adherence to best practices for operations and maintenance.
* Provide mandatory technical instructions regarding work processes and content to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Audits and Emergency Preparedness:
* Organize and oversee internal and external audits, ensuring thorough closeout of findings and recommendations.
* Plan and execute Emergency Response (ER) exercises, continuously improving ER preparedness strategies.
System Development and Incident Management:
* Monitor and enhance procedures and guidelines within the Safety Management System.
* Support incident investigations and ensure the implementation of actionable lessons learned.
Profile Requirements:
Educational Background:
* Master’s degree in engineering, preferably in electromechanical or chemical disciplines.
Experience and Expertise:
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in process safety.
* In-depth understanding of HSE studies and risk assessment methodologies.
* Practical experience in combining design strategies, study outcomes, and operational insights to enhance procedures and systems.
* Field experience alongside theoretical knowledge is highly desirable.
Technical and Industry Knowledge:
* Comprehensive understanding of oil and gas industry standards.
* Ability to manage multiple complex technical projects in a multidisciplinary environment.
Skills and Language Proficiency:
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on actionable outcomes.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
