Responsibilities of the Tax Accountant (VAT):
* Execute and oversee VAT and Intrastat operations across Europe and the EMA region, ensuring quality and compliance
* Lead the preparation and sign-off of VAT declarations and reporting in accordance with local legal requirements
* Perform detailed reconciliations and take ownership of specific month-end activities within the VAT domain
* Ensure strict adherence to internal and SOX controls to guarantee the integrity of financial data and transactions
* Collaborate with management to identify, develop, and implement process improvements and standardization opportunities
* Partner with internal and external stakeholders to provide high-level tax support and ensure SLA commitments are met
* Support tax audits and participate in projects related to system enhancements and process automation
Candidate Profile:
* Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field with a strong focus on VAT/Indirect Tax
* Demonstrable experience in a similar level role, ideally within an international advisory, Shared Service (GBS), or multinational environment
* Strong background in VAT compliance and Intrastat reporting
* Results-driven mindset with excellent organizational and planning skills
* Proficient in English; any additional European language is considered a plus
* Advanced Excel skills; hands-on experience with SAP is highly advantageous
* Ability to work effectively in a collaborative on-site setting (minimum 4 days per week)
