Our Future Food team serves as the internal innovation hub within Solina with a bold mission: create novel science and unlock new value for the broad Solina business through breakthrough innovation. We want to further expand our Future Food team in Eke (BE) with a Product & Application Developer who is turning the novel science, developed by our researchers, into innovative & inspiring food applications, and assuring a smooth transfer and technical support to the colleagues in the different regions where Solina is ac t ive. For this position, we are looking for an experienced entrepreneurial food designer - someone who combines deep food technology expertise with a hands-on, innovative & creative developer mind, ready to inspire our many food enthusiasts within Solina. Key Responsibilities Product & Application Development based on novel science Create new food applications based on the novel science that has been developed e.g. hybrid meat solutions, mycoproteins, fermented flavors and ingredients, plant-based applications This includes Understand the novel technologies from our researcher s ; lead the ideation & development of new application s, in connection with the regions ; Execute different development projects in parallel ; Prepare the trials: preparation of the raw materials and equipment, Execute the trials, in line with quality and safety standards, make the required analyses, collecting the samples, evaluate the trials, registration of the results, Document, analyse and interpret the results, Translat e the results into ingredient solutions, setting up finished goods in Solinas PLM system for ERP transfer ; Create a complete technical summary report ready to be used for internal and external communication ; Transfer & integrate the novel applications and the science behind into the regions T ransfer & integrate the newly developed applications, new Solina products & application knowledge to the regional and central R&D, production, sales & marketing colleagues ; Organize and execute demonstration sessions to contribute to product launch initiatives and capability presentations, internally and externally ; Technical support of the regions give technical support on novel applications on demand from the regions like f or example for customer projects ; Your profile Master or Bachelor in applied food science ; Demonstrate knowledge and 5y professional expertise in food science, food nutrition, and processing & design of savory food applications ; Exhibit strong technical knowledge & experience in food ingredient functionality: proteins, fibers, starches, hydrocolloids, …. Experienced in creating flavor in savory applications, good tasting capacity and experience d in sensory analysis ; Strong entrepreneurial mindset ; come with new ideas, drive implementation, business acumen (where will be earn money and where will be lose money) Strong multidisciplinary project management skills as setting and securing objectives, timelines and milestones ; Showing R&D way of working: precise, eye for detail, clear registration, ; Strong in launching innovative application s and convincing colleagues & customers with these novel developments ; Willingness to work in fast pace and in a dynamic environment ; Fluent in English Able to travel max 15% of time ; We are open to talents of all backgrounds.
