About the Role
The Credit Manager is responsible for overseeing customer credit risk across the EMENA region, ensuring sound financial practices and compliance. This includes evaluating the creditworthiness of customers, accountable in the management of customer credit limits and payment terms, and ensuring legal alignment with purchase orders and contracts. The Credit Manager also leads the collection of outstanding customer payments, working proactively to resolve issues and ensure timely cash flow. The Credit Manager supports strategic decision-making by providing risk assessments and collaborates closely with finance, sales, and legal teams to enable secure and compliant business transactions.
Responsibilities
* Conduct creditworthiness assessments of new and existing customers.
* Review and approve customer quotation requests from a credit risk perspective.
* Review and approve customer purchase orders, terms & conditions, and contractual clauses.
* Collaborate with legal and sales teams to ensure contractual compliance and mitigate risks.
* Monitor outstanding receivables and ensure timely collections.
* Maintain and update customer credit limits in coordination with credit insurers.
* Prepare credit reports and risk assessments for management and ELT review.
* Support internal audits and compliance reviews related to credit and contract management.
Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years of experience in credit management, preferably in industrial or construction sectors.
* Strong understanding of credit insurance, international trade terms, and legal contract review.
* Experience with ERP systems and credit risk tools is a plus.
* Languages: Fluent in English, additional assets are Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Danish, Spanish.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
