To be responsible for management and successful completion of a component on a complex scope, fulfilling both customer needs and committed Quality Cost Delivery Planning (QCDP) objectives in a high criticality or medium criticality project.
Manage component level stakeholders, activities and deliverables and make needed arbitration (engineering, product x process, Make or Buy, Costs, Milestones, Interfaces, …) to reach QCDP commitment
Coordinate component activities with sub-system stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities
1. Contribute to successful Project execution on allocated component scope of work:
Apply Project Strategy according to defined contractual and Project commitments and targets, as allocated on component.
Actively contribute to Project performance
Alert in case of deviations impacting project objectives; actively contribute to risks and opportunity management
Ensure compliance with applicable rules, instructions and standards, process & tools: Code of Ethics & Compliance, Environment Health & Safety, Railway Safety, Quality, Sourcing, PMM.
2. Lead and coordinate component activities and stakeholders, from requirement capture/analysis to the end of project contractual obligations limited to the component scope of work:
Achieve QCDP objectives of its component
Cascade and allocate component requirements and QCDP objectives to component team members
Implement component WBS
Plan, monitor, control and manage component end‑to‑end activities (scope, schedule, resources, cost, risks, saving, opportunities)
Coordinate and support consistent execution of component objectives, activities and deliverables (Engineering, Research & Development programs, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Indus when applicable, Reliability Availability Maintainability Safety (RAMS)…)
Lead teams in successful achievement of project objectives, synchronize stakeholders at component level and ensure stakeholder alignments
Perform component level decisions and trade‑offs
Rebase lining and change management at component level
Manage component situation and Key Performance Indicators (KPI), and report with transparency
Upon request from PM, is delegated to represent Alstom towards Customer and external stakeholders
3. Coordinate and synchronize component activities with other component and sub-system teams:
Actively contribute to the resolution of overarching/transverse optimizations or issues
Manage interface with sub-system-level team members & project office (e.g. industrialization, control of configuration management, sourcing, quality) and ask if necessary, for sub-system manager arbitration
Performance measurements
Delivery of component in accordance with QCD targets (QCD KPIs) and all contractual requirements

Educational Requirements
Mandatory:
Master degree or bachelor degree
Desirable:
IPMA xphnsxz level D (or equivalent)
Experience
Mandatory:
2 years experience as component manager
Experience of working in and with multi‑national companies and in different business cultures
Desirable:
Knowledgeable of ALSTOM way of working for efficient process execution
Global knowledge on the component
