Company Overview
Our client is an innovative wealth technology startup in Hong Kong, partnered with a leading global data-tech conglomerate. They're developing a groundbreaking AI-powered CIO/CFO platform tailored for Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWI) and Single Family Offices (SFO)—akin to BlackRock's Aladdin but customized for sophisticated wealth consolidation, goal-based investing, portfolio/risk/liquidity management, secondary market execution, and advanced AI reasoning (LLM/SLM). This is a founding tech team role in a fast-paced startup environment. Ideal candidates must embrace entrepreneurial ambiguity, rapid iteration, and equity-aligned incentives to build first-of-its-kind solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee end-to-end development of the AI-Investment platform, ensuring timely feature delivery and high performance.
Collaborate directly with the Founder (seasoned industry veteran) on business development, client co-design with SFO/UHNWI, and VC fundraising support.
Build and lead a 3-5-person offshore in-house engineering team while serving as primary liaison to the partner's product engineers and coders.
Drive fintech standards for quality, security, compliance, CI/CD, and scalability in a lean, high-growth setting.
Candidate Requirements
10+ years in fintech/wealth tech, with deep expertise in investment/asset management (private banking and algo trading experience a strong plus).
Proven track record building and leading tech teams in startups; hands-on with AI/ML, full-stack development (Python, cloud, APIs).
Entrepreneurial spirit: comfortable with startup hustle, strategic partnerships, and monetization strategies.
Project management skills for cross-functional coordination and high-stakes delivery.
English and Mandarin speaking fluency is required for this role
