Position Summary
The Senior Project Manager oversees the end-to-end delivery of complex software projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction. This role involves managing high-risk, strategic projects that span multiple functions, regions, and cultures. The manager is accountable for project cost, schedule, and scope, while also supporting business development and long-term account growth. The role requires building strong partnerships with senior client stakeholders and internal executives, as well as managing vendor relationships and influencing solution strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Project Scoping & Planning
1. Define project goals, scope, and client requirements
2. Identify risks, resource needs, and develop budgets
3. Create detailed project plans and documentation
Sales & Business Development
4. Identify and present new business opportunities
5. Support contract negotiations and client engagement
6. Drive incremental business through strategic planning
Project Execution & Delivery
7. Lead cross-functional project teams
8. Monitor progress, manage risks, and implement mitigation strategies
9. Maintain project information systems and financial tracking
10. Ensure timely invoicing and proof of delivery
Performance & Quality Management
11. Conduct project reviews and vendor performance assessments
12. Drive continuous improvement initiatives
13. Provide accurate revenue forecasts and manage cost/resource variances
Qualifications
Required Skills & Qualifications
14. Strong background in agile software development and infrastructure delivery
15. Advanced leadership and communication skills
16. Ability to manage multiple priorities and delegate effectively
17. Proficiency in MS Project, Teams, and project management systems
18. Familiarity with PMBOK, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent frameworks
Education & Experience
19. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
20. 10+ years of experience managing medium to large-scale software projects
21. Proven ability to manage project P&L up to €10M
22. Agile project management experience required
23. PMP, PRINCE2, or IPMA certification preferred
24. Experience in the retail (food/non-food) sector is a plus
