Position Purpose, Responsibilities, and Key DutiesAs a Junior Accountant, you will play a role in strengthening our internal processes and supporting the professionalization of our finance organization.You will begin with a strong focus on Core Accounting to master the fundamentals of the business. As you grow, you will progressively take on responsibilities in Business Controlling.We are looking for someone with the drive and aptitude to evolve into a strategic financial partner.Reporting toAccountantDirect ReportsN/AFunctional Reporting LinesN/AKey Responsibilities Core Accounting & Compliance (Phase 1)Perform daily bookkeeping tasks and manage accounts payable/receivable; Handle bank entries, payments, and monthly reconciliations; Prepare annual VAT lists, Intrastat declarations, and tax sheets; Support periodic closings (monthly, quarterly, and annual); Ensure accurateadministrative processing in our ERP system (LISA).Inventory & Operational AnalysisAnalyze and value warehouse movements to ensure accurate stock reporting; Monitor inventory levels and investigate discrepancies between physical stock and ERP records; Work closely with the Business Controller to monitor investments and book depreciation; Identify and explain deviations, trends, and risks in operational costs.Controlling & Strategic Support (Growth Phase)Draft and analyze monthly business result statements; Contribute to finance-related improvement and optimization projects; Assist inbuilding stronger financial insights for operational and strategic decisions.Position RequirementsEducation: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, excellent Excel skills, and comfort with digital environments; Languages: Fluency in Dutch and proficiency in English; Soft Skills: An analytical mindset with a passion for data, a proactive/hands-on attitude, and the explicit ambition to grow into a controlling role.
