.fit_to_content{width:%;height:auto}Your role
As a senior designer, you play a key role in the Technology & Innovation (T&I) team of the Portable Air Division. The T&I team is part of the engineering department and focuses on the long-term development of mobile compressors and breakers. Its mission is to collect and validate relevant technology knowledge, develop and qualify building blocks, and hand these over to the D&D organization so they can integrate them into end products. In addition, T&I delivers proof-of-concepts to marketing to enable a faster and more reliable product development cycle.
In this role, you help translate early-stage ideas into concrete, validated concepts. You develop 3D designs and 2D technical drawings with the required tolerances and support the creation of qualified technology modules before they move into full product development. You coordinate closely with our external design partner Gecia by setting clear targets, aligning timelines and ensuring consistent follow-up.
You prepare and release parts lists, develop functional specifications for components, and interact with suppliers to select the right technical solutions. You actively support the prototype phase from ordering components to following up assembly together with project owners and process feedback to refine and improve the design. You also help structure and safeguard technical knowledge in our PACT platform so the organization can build on validated insights.
This role is diverse, hands-on and offers the opportunity to work across multiple technical domains while contributing directly to future compressor technologies.
