With Sofico present in ~50% of our addressable European market, UBench is uniquely positioned to accelerate growth through ecosystem leverage — while simultaneously expanding independently across adjacent segments.

As we enter our next growth phase, we are hiring a Commercial Director to professionalize our commercial engine and drive scalable European expansion.



The mandate

You are accountable for topline growth across Europe, with a strategic focus on SaaS ARR expansion.

* Growth target: 15%+ annually
* Deal size: €50k–€300k ARR
* Sales cycles: 9–12 months
* Focus: SaaS-first growth; services revenue is secondary and managed pragmatically

Year 1 priorities:

* Build and improve pipeline health across key European markets
* Increase qualified pipeline coverage to support 15%+ ARR growth
* Strengthen forecasting discipline and commercial accountability
* Lead and close strategic enterprise pursuits
* Raise performance standards across sales and customer success

Churn is currently not a structural issue. The opportunity lies in pipeline quality, enterprise positioning, and scalable revenue architecture.



Your scope of responsibility

Revenue & growth ownership

* Own and deliver 15%+ annual revenue growth, with clear ARR expansion targets.
* Build structured European expansion plans leveraging:
o Sofico’s installed base (ecosystem piggybacking)
o Independent growth levers beyond the Sofico footprint
* Personally lead strategic enterprise pursuits in key accounts.



Commercial operations & discipline

* Implement commercial discipline and accountability frameworks across:
o Pipeline management
o Forecasting accuracy
o Deal qualification standards
* Increase transparency and predictability of 9–12 month enterprise cycles.
* Improve performance standards across sales and CSM teams.

Pricing & deal governance

* Full authority over pricing and discounting frameworks (CEO holds veto right).
* Optimize use of existing price book while adapting intelligently for enterprise complexity.
* Protect long-term pricing power and margin integrity.



Team leadership

You will lead:

* 2 Sales Managers
* 1 Partner Manager
* 3 CSMs (including 1 Team Lead)
* 8 operational claims handlers (including 1 Team Lead)

Your primary focus is commercial performance.
The services team sits within your scope as they are customer facing UBench ambassadors and for organizational alignment.

You are expected to:

* Coach and raise performance standards across sales and CSM.
* Create a performance-driven culture with clear metrics and ownership.
* Elevate the team from relationship-driven selling to enterprise-grade commercial execution.



Strategic leadership

* Member of the UBench leadership team.
* Direct reporting line to the CEO.
* Active contributor to company strategy, European sequencing, and growth investments.
* Key commercial interface to Sofico leadership.

Requirements

You are a commercial operator with 10–15 years of experience in B2B SaaS or hybrid SaaS/services environments.

You bring:

* Proven experience closing €50k–€300k enterprise SaaS deals.
* Demonstrated ability to build pipeline in 9–12 month enterprise cycles.
* Experience professionalizing forecasting and commercial governance.
* Leadership experience managing multi-functional commercial teams.
* Ability to criticize existing processes and systems constructively.
* Comfort operating in PE-backed growth environments.

Automotive, leasing, fleet, or insurance ecosystem experience is a strong plus.

You are hungry, structured, and performance-oriented — with enough leadership maturity to coach junior teams while standing firm with senior stakeholders.
