The Story

This role is that turning point.

For over two decades, our client, a leading European climate finance firm has supported industrial players across the continent in managing their carbon exposure and regulatory obligations. Operating within the world’s largest regulated carbon market, the EU ETS, the company helps businesses decide:

· when to buy carbon allowances,

· when to sell,

· how to hedge volatility,

· and how to accelerate their transition to a lower-carbon future.

Behind every decision lies impact, financial, strategic, environmental. And now, the team in Brussels is looking for someone who can take ownership of the Dutch speaking markets, one of the region’s most dynamic and challenging.

Your Role in This Story

You will become the trusted commercial advisor for Dutch and Flemish industrial clients CFOs, Finance Managers, and compliance leaders making high-stakes decisions that shape the future of their organisations.

You will:

• Grow and manage a portfolio of 150–200 Dutch-speaking clients

• Execute EU ETS trades and support risk strategies

• Translate market signals into clear recommendations

• Hunt, build, and convert new opportunities in a highly competitive environment

• Represent the company at key climate, finance, and industry events

This is a commercial role with purpose, complexity, and real influence.

You can demonstrate that…

• You have excellent command of Dutch (C2 level), both spoken and written, enabling you to advise senior stakeholders in a complex commercial and regulatory environment.

• You have proven experience in B2B business development (typically gained over several years), demonstrating your ability to build and grow a client portfolio autonomously.

• You have a natural curiosity for markets, strategy, and finance

• You enjoy connecting with senior stakeholders and earning their trust

• You thrive in fast-moving, high-intensity environments

• You want a career that grows in value as Europe deepens its climate commitments

If you come from SaaS, fintech, consulting, trading, or any complex B2B environment, you will feel at home.
