We are working on behalf of a trusted client who are seeking seeking an experienced and highly motivated Financial Controller to oversee and strengthen our financial operations in West Flanders. This position offers a unique opportunity to play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making and ensuring the financial health and integrity of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
* Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
* Provide accurate and timely financial insights to support management decisions
* Ensure compliance with Belgian GAAP and all applicable financial regulations
* Maintain and improve internal controls, financial systems, and processes
* Coordinate external audits and manage relationships with auditors and advisors
* Supervise and develop members of the finance team
Qualifications and Experience
* Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
* Minimum of 5–10 years of relevant professional experience in finance or controlling
* Strong knowledge of Belgian accounting standards and regulatory requirements
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
