🚀 Freelance Senior Azure Consultant / Azure Architect
For one of our clients based in Bruges, we are looking for an experienced Freelance Azure Consultant / Azure Architect to help extend, automate, and modernize their existing cloud platform.
You will join the Cloud & Infrastructure team and play a key role in driving Azure initiatives focused on automation, governance, security, containerization, and serverless technologies.
📍 Location: Bruges – 3 days onsite per week (or full-time onsite)
🗓 Start: ASAP
📅 Duration: Long-term mission
🕒 Contract: Freelance – Full-time
🌍 Languages: Dutch (native) + English (professional)
🎯 Your responsibilities
* Design, build, and optimize Azure architectures (IaaS, PaaS & serverless)
* Deploy and maintain Azure Function Apps, Logic Apps, Azure Automation & Azure Storage
* Set up and manage modern CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions)
* Deploy and optimize Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) and container-based workloads
* Implement and manage Azure Governance (Policies, RBAC, landing zones)
* Provide technical guidance and best practices to internal teams
* Troubleshoot and optimize cloud workload performance
* Advise on automation strategies and cost optimization
* Contribute directly to the evolution of a modern Azure platform
✅ Required skills & experience
* 8+ years in Microsoft infrastructure
* 5+ years hands-on Azure experience
* Strong expertise with:
Azure Function Apps & Logic Apps
Azure Automation & Infrastructure-as-Code
Azure Storage
Azure API Management
Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS)
CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
* Solid knowledge of Azure Governance (Policies, RBAC, security best practices)
* Experience designing scalable, secure cloud environments
* Analytical, autonomous, and strong communicator
