You will be responsible for building and enhancing a Kubernetes-native control plane to provide seamless management of our eBPF datapath, enabling a secure traffic management in cloud and hybrid enterprise environments. You will work with a highly collaborative and skilled team to build solutions that advance the next generation of networking and security in Kubernetes environments. /p ul liDesign and develop a Go-based control plane managing our enterprise-grade traffic security engine. /li liDevelop APIs, tools, and custom resources to streamline secure traffic management, scaling, and failover within Kubernetes environments. /li liDebug, troubleshoot, and resolve performance, reliability, and security issues in the control and dataplane. /li liParticipate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and contribute to technical documentation. /li /ul h3Minimum Qualifications /h3 ul liBachelors Computer Science degree, or related fields /li li5+ years of experience in Go /li liExperience with Kubernetes, Cloud Native workloads and/or distributed systems /li liExperience developing and operating traffic security solutions like WAF, IDS/IPS /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liKnowledge about Linux systems design, security and/or networking, Linux kernel /li liDesire to write high quality and efficient code /li liExperience designing and implementing APIs /li liA public track record of open-source code commits is a plus /li /ul pWhy Cisco? /p pAt Cisco, we’re revolutionizing how data and infrastructure connect and protect organizations in the AI era – and beyond.
