Job Summary:
Technical Project Lead
Our organization is seeking a skilled Technical Project Lead to oversee the coordination of technical activities on assigned projects. This role involves ensuring timely and efficient completion of project engineering work, following global resources and standards, while meeting quality, budget, and schedule goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Customer Relations - support the project manager in understanding, leading, and achieving each customer's expectations
* Engineering Activities - handle engineering tasks using proactive methods and resources to minimize costs, enforce schedules, and maintain high-quality outcomes
* Project Schedule Management - assist the project manager in crafting project schedules, providing updates on resource needs, progress, and risks for the engineering work
* Communication Facilitation - facilitate communication between team members and customers, providing essential details for assigned work
* Procurement Support - support the project lead or project manager in developing procurement lists, including detailed specifications for any sub-contracted works and services where relevant, along with required delivery dates
* Project Scope Management - comprehend the work scope for assigned engineering tasks and ensure its timely delivery within specified budgets and schedules
* HSE/Quality Control - ensure that all engineering activities are undertaken in accordance with quality control processes and achieve relevant standards - adhere to company and customer HSEQ standards at all times
* Team Building - support the project manager in creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all personnel within the project team and actively support team members in achieving personal development objectives
* Proposals/Sales Support - actively contribute to assigned bid activities to ensure that customer requirements are fully understood and innovative and cost-effective solutions are proposed
* Supplier Management - help the project manager handle external parties involved in the project, including product vendors, sub-contractors, other teams, and third parties working for the customer
Requirements:
* Engineering degree, state-certified technician, completed vocational training, or equivalent knowledge
* + years of relevant industry experience with a proven track record of handling system design, implementation, and factory/site acceptance test phases of projects (process automation, systems, and instrumentation)
* Extensive experience with direct customer contact and managing expectations
* Local language skills with proficient English (verbal and written); excellent communicator
Preferred Qualifications:
* Ability and talent to lead a technical team - with leadership experience preferred
* Ability to work independently and within defined timelines
