For one of our main clients based in Brussels – a European institution – we are looking for a Junior Java Developer for future incoming requests. Ideally you are accustomed to working as a Java developer in large‑scale environments, preferably in multicultural public sector environments.
Job Requirements
* University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field;
* Minimum 2 years in IT with hands‑on experience in Java development;
* Strong command of English both written and spoken (B2);
* Ability to organise and prioritise tasks;
* Experience working on projects that follow Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or Disciplined Agile;
* Familiarity with common Java frameworks and libraries (e.g., Spring, Hibernate, Maven/Gradle);
* Understanding of RESTful APIs, micro‑services architecture, and relational/NoSQL databases;
* Ability to write clear technical documentation and produce professional reports;
* Proficiency with collaboration and version‑control tools (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps, Atlassian JIRA, Confluence).
