The Position As part of our ongoing growth, we are looking for a Civil Works Engineer to join our teams and work on client projects located in Belgium. As a Civil Works Engineer, your main responsibilities will include: • Technical follow-up of civil works related to ongoing and future projects. • Managing projects within Long-Term Operations, including life extension plans for key infrastructure. • Overseeing Decommissioning and Dismantling, including new builds and modifications related to plant shutdowns. • Providing Plant Operational Support, including maintenance for cooling towers and new facility constructions such as Spent Fuel Storage Facilities. • Working under the mentorship of the Site Lead to ensure project success. • Acting as the interface between engineering teams, the Client, and Contractors executing the works. • Inspecting Contractors’ execution activities, verifying compliance with drawings, methodologies, and documentation. • Monitoring Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) requirements for project execution. • Managing technical interfaces between different Contractors involved. • Overseeing and following up on main design modifications. • Participating in regular stakeholder meetings, addressing progress, challenges, HSE standards, and technical interfaces. • Drafting work orders and site orders, issuing reports on execution and possible shortcomings, and verifying contractor progress reports. • Continuously exchanging technical insights to improve efficiency and project execution. Your Profile • Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. • Several years of experience in a similar position. • Proficiency in project management tools and QA/QC methodologies. • Languages: Fluency in Dutch & English. • Strong organizational and communication skills, with a team-oriented approach. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Affinity for civil engineering techniques, stability calculations, and structural design modifications.
