Clario, part of Thermo Fischer Scientific, is looking for an AI Engineering Team Lead who will be overseeing the successful delivery of strategic AI initiatives across our portfolio.
This role combines technical leadership, project delivery oversight, stakeholder management, and people leadership. The AI Engineering Lead will guide AI Engineers and Software Engineers, translate business priorities into executable plans, and ensure high-quality AI solutions are delivered with strong outcomes for the business and our customers.

What You'll Be Doing
4. Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple AI initiatives, ensuring projects meet scope, timelines, quality expectations, and business objectives
5. Mentor and support AI Engineers by setting clear direction, providing coaching, and building a high-performing project team
6. Partner with stakeholders across product, science, clinical, operations, and engineering to define requirements, priorities, milestones, risks, and success metrics
7. Translate stakeholder needs into technical roadmaps, delivery plans, and resourcing strategies for AI-powered products and platforms
8. Guide solution design, software development, model integration, testing, deployment, and operational support across the AI project portfolio
9. Drive strong AI research and engineering practices across the team
10. Coordinate dependencies, remove blockers, and communicate project status, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to leadership and stakeholders
11. Balance innovation and experimentation with execution discipline, scalability, reliability, and compliance considerations
12. Contribute to hiring, onboarding, team planning, and continuous improvement of delivery processes and engineering standards
What We're Looking For
13. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
14. 7+ years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering, machine learning, or related technical roles
15. 2+ years of experience leading teams, technical programs, or cross-functional delivery efforts
16. Demonstrated success delivering AI/ML or data-driven software solutions from concept through production
17. Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with modern AI/ML tooling, backend services, APIs, and data pipelines
18. Experience with cloud-based architectures and production deployment of software or AI solutions
19. Proven ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and drive alignment across competing priorities
20. Strong people leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills
21. Commitment to high-quality, secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions
22. Experience in healthcare, life sciences, biotech, or other regulated environments is a plus
23. Familiarity with generative AI, LLM-enabled workflows, retrieval systems, or AI-assisted product capabilities is a plus
