software engineering (IT) and the factory floor (OT). We are looking for an innovative,
AI-native Full Stack Developer to build our core infrastructure, introduce modern
DevOps and security practices, and dive into the world of industrial control systems.
The Role
This is not a maintenance role; it is an opportunity to build from the ground up. You
will act as a true intrapreneur within the company, taking ownership of our software
architecture. You will leverage your full-stack skills to build robust dashboards,
secure our codebases, and learn Ignition (the leading industrial application
platform). You will be the pioneer who sets the standard for how we ship code and
secure industrial data.
Key Responsibilities
Full Stack & SCADA Integration
: Develop scalable web interfaces for industrial data
while actively learning and implementing the Ignition platform (HMI design, tag
configuration, Python/Jython scripting).
Innovate with Data
: Architect pipelines to process high-frequency, real-time data
from PLCs to the cloud, exploring opportunities for future AI/ML predictive analytics.
Establish DevOps & Version Control: Take the lead on setting up Git branch
strategies and building secure CI/CD pipelines to ensure we ship reliable code at
high velocity.
Champion Industrial Security
: Design secure architectures, implement proper
authentication flows, and ensure our web-to-PLC data bridges represent best-in-
class security.
AI-Accelerated Development
: Utilize AI coding assistants and agents to rapidly
architect infrastructure, write boilerplate, and troubleshoot, keeping the team agile
and innovative.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
2-4+ years of full-stack development with an intrapreneurial mindset—
you thrive on autonomy and solving open-ended problems.
DevOps & Security:
Strong mastery of Git, experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub
Actions, Docker, etc.), and a solid grasp of web security fundamentals (OAuth,
SSL/TLS, secure API design).
Web Stack:
Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular)
and backend languages, Python, or Java).
Mindset:
An adventurous learner who is eager to step out of the traditional web
space and master industrial protocols (MQTT, OPC UA) and PLC logic.
Bonus Points
Experience with Linux server administration and cloud infrastructure.
Familiarity with MQTT (Sparkplug B) or existing knowledge of Inductive Automation's
Ignition.
Understanding of basic networking (VLANs, VPNs) and the Purdue Model for
industrial security.
