Job Description:
The Supply Chain Director oversees and optimizes Melexis' end-to-end supply chain operations. This leadership role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective flow of goods, information, and services from suppliers to customers globally. You possess extensive experience in supply chain management, preferably within the semiconductor industry, and demonstrate a proven track record of strategic leadership and operational excellence. Supply chain is balancing the customer intimacy, the product leadership and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies to enhance the supply chain triangle (cost, cash and service) and support Melexis' global business objectives.
2. Operational Management: Oversees the complete supply chain activities (in relation to procurement, production planning, inventory management, warehousing, transportation and customer service).
3. Supplier Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and customers to ensure reliability of supply.
4. Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as BU, development, Quality, Operations, sales, and finance, to align supply chain processes with overall business strategies and objectives and support Group-wide initiatives on enhancing the speed and reducing the cost in the Production phase.
5. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse global supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
6. Risk Management: Identify potential risks within the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.
7. Performance Monitoring: Set performance targets for the supply chain team and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure meeting goals.
8. Technology Integration: Implement and leverage advanced supply chain technologies and methodologies to improve efficiency, manage increased complexity, enhance customer service, and improve planning information towards operations and suppliers.
Your profile
* Master's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent by experience.
* Strong operational excellence and process improvement skills.
* In-depth knowledge of global supply chain processes, logistics, procurement, and supplier management.
* Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
* Negotiation skills.
* Proficiency in supply chain software and related technologies.
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
