About the Role
At Amaris Consulting, we are looking for a Scientist specializing in Combination Product Characterization to join a dynamic and innovative pharmaceutical environment. In this role, you will contribute to the development of next-generation healthcare solutions by performing advanced analytical investigations on pharmaceutical and medical device products.
This is a hands-on laboratory position where your expertise will directly impact product quality, performance, and patient outcomes.
Your Key Responsibilities
As a Scientist, you will:
* Conduct advanced material characterization experiments using mechanical testing systems (e.g., tensile, compression, injectability, bending, adhesion)
* Operate analytical instruments such as IR spectroscopy, microscopy (SEM/optical), and imaging tools
* Perform dimensional analysis and fit/form assessments using precision measurement systems
* Analyze and interpret data to deliver clear, actionable scientific insights
* Develop, optimize, and validate testing methods and protocols
* Ensure high-quality sample preparation and maintain/calibrate laboratory equipment
* Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams, contributing to product development and investigations
* Present findings and support data-driven decision-making across the product lifecycle
Your Profile
Education & Experience
* PhD (or equivalent) in Polymer Science, Materials Science, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Physics, or a related field
* Hands-on experience with mechanical testing techniques (e.g., uniaxial testing, injectability, 3-point bending, adhesion)
* Experience in laboratory environments, including sample preparation and instrument operation
* Familiarity with combination products or medical devices is a plus
* Exposure to advanced imaging techniques (e.g., IR/Raman microscopy, SEM, Optical Microscopy, XCT, THz) is an advantage
Technical & Professional Skills
* Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail in experimental work
* Ability to interpret data and perform basic statistical analysis
* Experience with method development and validation
* Excellent organizational and project management skills
* Clear communication and presentation abilities in English
