We’re looking for an experienced cyber security architect, with several years of hands‑on technical experience in IT security. Preferably, that experience would be combined with proven Project Management and team coaching capabilities.

Tasks
* Assist customers in defining secure blueprints for their IT and OT architecture, either through auditing of the existing design in a threat‑based fashion or through the design of entirely new architecture designs. In this, you apply principles such as Defense In Depth and Zero Trust, leverage security norms and standards of the organization and the market, and apply those in a pragmatic, risk‑driven way.
* Review and challenge the design or set up of networks and related environments against market security standards (e.g. CSI benchmarks, CIS18 controls, …) and / or based on threat assessments; translate this into actionable recommendations that align with security best practices but are prioritized based on risk and opportunity for the organization, and fitting a strategic vision on how to improve the organization’s overall cyber security posture.
* Lead technical security audits of networks and systems, with support of our technical teams, to identify vulnerabilities or configuration shortcomings, with the goal to implement a comprehensive and / or continuous security surveillance and monitoring of the infrastructure.
* Support customers in the secure implementation of third‑party products (mostly in an IT context, but from time to time also in an OT context), through the design of technical and organisational security controls and the assistance of the customer in the implementation thereof.
* Design, implement and test resilient IT architectures, and support customers with the implementation or improvement of their IT continuity and disaster recovery technical mechanisms and procedures.
* Support incident response teams in coordinating the recovery of infected systems, identifying possible security improvements, and implementing them.
Additional responsibilities
* Assist members of the team with expertise, coaching more junior cyber security consultants on projects.
* Take responsibility in project management tasks to ensure that assigned projects are delivered in time, with the right level of quality and within foreseen budget.
Requirements
* Minimum 5 years of experience in IT security or enterprise architect role.
* Minimum 2 years hands‑on experience with technical implementations, configurations, and / or troubleshooting.
* In‑depth understanding of operating systems, network/system protocols and IT architecture design.
* Knowledge of Active Directory security, Entra security or general Azure security mechanisms is an asset.
* Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and motivate colleagues, effective interpersonal skills; experience in project or team management is an asset.
* Excellent English skills, both oral and written. Good French or Dutch skills are an asset.
* Creative problem solver.
* Eligible for a NATO clearance (see HERE for more information).
