About the role:
As a Senior Project Engineer for new projects, you will support the AP1000 Poland Project Engineering organization. You will engage with a wide range of nuclear power plant design topics to support Westinghouse's international new build market development and capture efforts. The AP1000 Poland Project Engineering team includes both US-based and Europe-based groups working together to achieve departmental goals.
You will report to the Component, Structures, and Construction Integration Project Engineering Manager (PEM). This position is hybrid-based in one of the European offices or one of the US offices (CW or Rock Hill).
Main Responsibilities:
* Enhance nuclear safety culture traits and human performance tools
* Support engineering documentation updates and release document list creation
* Coordinate engineering documentation finalization for long and medium lead components
* Contribute to engineering fabrication follow-up and shop drawing review processes
* Coordinate engineering review and support to suppliers during procurement RFQ and fabrication
* Assist in bid and proposal efforts by collaborating across engineering disciplines
* Lead efforts to support engineering contracts and project milestones for new builds
* Make decisions that align with project technical, commercial, and schedule needs, focusing on supply chain and long/medium lead equipment
Qualifications:
* 5 or more years of project engineering experience
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent
* At least 5 years of engineering experience in component fabrication, procurement, or engineering integration
