Our client, an important multinational Group operating in the FMCG, is currently looking for an:
Head of Procurement Excellence
The resource, reporting to the Chief Procurement Officer, will lead Procurement Excellence in terms of processes, digital roadmap, systems and overall capabilities, while creating value across different spending categories and geographies in line with the Group procurement strategic priorities, interacting with Procurement leaders and peer functions.
Areas of responsibility:
Drive and oversee the standardization and simplification of procurement processes & tools across relevant spend categories
Lead the sharing and adoption of procurement best practices within Procurement and across peer functions
Ensure business continuity through the execution of all procurement transactional activities
Elaborate and execute strategies to leverage Digital technologies that enhance Procurement efficiency and effectiveness
Ensure proper resource allocation and prioritization among Procurement Strategic Projects supporting the Project Leaders in the project management activities
Procurement Competence Center: deploy best practices across the function, supporting overall functional development and drive and oversee standardization and simplification within all relevant procurement processes and tools
Procurement Service Center: ensure business continuity leading to the execution of all procurement transactional activities and related key administrative duties, data reporting and vendor master data activities
Procurement digital strategy and project portfolio: lead the assessment and redesign of Procurement processes impacted by digital roadmap to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance Suppliers’ relationship with consistent digital solutions
Oversee and drive Governance, Risk & Compliance activities at the Procurement level, ensuring a standardized methodology
Team management: accountable for the people assigned respecting Group values
Requirements:
University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or a related field
15+ years with experience in Senior Procurement and Procurement Excellence roles
Solid understanding of Process Governance, Transformation & Change Management
Experience in Digital Transformation
Relationship and stakeholder management skills
Results-oriented, with strong organizational integration and a strategic mindset
Leadership and team management
Knowledge of SAP Ariba is helpful for the role
Fluent in English
